Our standard shipping option is USPS Media Mail, also known as Postal Book Rate. This is the most popular shipping option for our customers, because it's the cheapest and books will normally arrive almost anywhere in the continental U.S. within two to nine days. More about Media Mail
How Media Mail Works
Media Mail has a lower priority than all other mail classes, which means it will always be the last thing loaded onto the truck. If the truck fills up with letters or packages being shipped by higher priority, all Media Mail items will remain on the dock until the next truck arrives. Higher priority shipping always jumps ahead, even if a Media Mail package has been waiting a week, but the higher priority mail came into the Post Office today.
Most of the time, there's plenty of room on the truck, and Media Mail can cross the country in a few days. But around heavy mailing times, such as Christmas or April 15th, media mail can be delayed. Furthermore, Media Mail always goes ground, by truck.
For all of these reasons, there's no guarantee of delivery within a specific period of time. But if you're not in a hurry, this option is by far the best way to go. It can be a tenth the price of overnight shipping.
If speed is of essence, please contact us before placing the order and we'll see what we can do.
