Behind Barbed Wire by Milton Bailey

Bailey was an Army occupation specialist during World War II, assigned to the POW camps in Houlton, Maine. There he processed German prisoners from 1944 until he helped to close the camp in 1946. He is the only person to date to write about the camp for publication who was actually there. This important historical document is more than generously illustrated with photographs from the camp and photocopies of correspondence.
